There
are new Best Practice Guidelines available for Patient Education.
We
have also reviewed the Best Practice Guidelines for Discharge as
we are aware that many of you require more up to date references
for your Quality systems. However, there is a pilot study and further
research being undertaken by the Joanna Briggs Institute, together
with the Victorian Day Surgery group to look at the validity of
the Modified PADSS so ADSNA are reluctant to make major changes
until the research findings are available. Therefore, we can offer
you the reviewed guidelines (with footer to indicate review) at
a special price for a limited time.
The
following Best Practice Guidelines are now available:
-
Guidelines for Pain Management (2006)
-
Guidelines for Paediatric Patients (2006)
- Guidelines
for Patient Education (2005)
-
Guidelines for Discharge Planning (1999, Reviewed, 2005)
-
Guidelines for Writing Day Surgery Specific Competencies (2004)
-
Guidelines for Preadmission procedures for Day Surgery Units (2003)
-
Guidelines for The Care of Patients Whilst in the Day Surgery
Unit (2003)
-
Guidelines for Staffing in the Day Surgery Unit (2003)
Because of tax implications, we have had to increase the prices
for guidelines for non members. However, we have been able to continue
the discounted price for ADSNA members.
